Duvall · Washington

Living in Duvall.

The riverside town up north

What is it like to live in Duvall? It is the valley's northern anchor, a river town where downtown runs one block from the Snoqualmie River. Big trees, a Thursday farmers market on the riverfront, and a June festival more than 65 years old give it a personality all its own.

The character

What actually defines Duvall.

Duvall was settled in the 1870s by the Duvall brothers, loggers who gave the town its name, and it incorporated in 1913 as a trading center for the lower valley. Today it is one of the region's faster-growing communities, with new neighborhoods climbing the hillsides while the old main street keeps its timber-town character.

The river is the town's backyard. Taylor Landing hosts the Duvall Farmers Market on Thursday evenings, and wooded parks and riverbanks run north of downtown. Duvall is also home to Cedarcrest High School, the comprehensive high school for the Riverview School District.
