The character
What actually defines North Bend.
North Bend was platted in 1889 and grew as the trailhead for the Cascades, a role it still plays. Mount Si's eight-mile round-trip climb is one of Washington's most-hiked trails, and the network of bike, trail, and river access keeps the town busy year-round. Film fans know the area from David Lynch's Twin Peaks, which shot much of its small-town atmosphere around the valley.
Every August, Festival at Mount Si takes over Si View Park for a weekend of music, a main-street parade, and fireworks. Downtown along Bendigo Boulevard is lined with coffee roasters, bakeries, and gear shops, and the North Bend Premium Outlets draw shoppers from across the region.
The vibe: Mountain basecamp energy, hiking and river access, quick freeway hop

Homes in North Bend, in one honest paragraph.
North Bend's market spans vintage downtown bungalows, mid-century ramblers, and new construction, with recent median sale prices reported somewhere between about $900,000 and $1.2 million depending on the source and time frame. It pays to look street by street: homes near the freeway behave differently from acreage lots up the valley.
